So today, I took delivery of my first electric bike.
An Ariel Rider X52.
It’s unbelievable how much I love this thing. Cruising around on a pseudo-motorcycle at about 25mph is amazing.
I even got a typical “motorcycle wave” from a guy on an actual motorcycle. Kinda blew my mind.
It was cold as can be though, being in Wisconsin, it was about 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Pretty chilly on a bike, regretted not bringing gloves on the maiden voyage.
One of the things I’m trying to practice with this is using affiliate links, but sadly the affiliate program from Ariel Rider is being rebuilt (According to an extremely helpful member of their support staff who took care of everything else I sent to him)
Honestly, if you’re looking for a motorcycle, but can’t be fucked to deal with getting your M license (two-day course in Wisconsin. Ain’t nobody got time for that shit) you absolutely cannot go wrong with one of these.
I rode about 13 miles on it and the battery still showed as full, which I find interesting. Kinda curious about the cost per mile, but I’m not going to complain since it’s being charged on free power I generate in my off-grid shed.
There’s a joke about gas prices in here somewhere, but everyone is making those. Because it’s funny, just like our country’s absurd policies on being dependent on foreign oil. (OHHHHHHHHHH)
